Abstract (2. Language):
Craniofacial resection for the menagement of paranasal sinüs tumors with intracranial ex~ tention.. The prognosis of the advanced paranasal sinüs malignancies are generally poor. If the tumor invades the inferior surface of the cribriform plate and roof of etmoid complex, it is theorically accepted to spread intracranially via skull base. The majör reason for the poor prognosis of such extensive tumors of the paranasal sinuses is the local recurrance engendered by İnadequatc resection. Craniofacial resection offers a solution to this problem by providing "en block" resection of the ethmoid sinüs and cribriform plate. in this report we present 4 ca-ses of paranasal sinüs malignancies treated by craniofacial resection in our elinic and discuss the advantages and the possible complications carried along with this technique
