Abstract (2. Language):
The investigation of relationship between cholesterol content and peroxidation potential oj low density lipoproteins in healthy subjects. In this study, we determined endogenous diene conjugate levels and the susceptibility to copper-induced lipid peroxidation of low density lipoproteins (LDL) isolated by precipitation with buffered heparin from plasma in healthy 50 subjects, aged 27-79 years (means 56.6, SD 19.4). Positive coırelations were found to exist betvveen LDL endogenous diene conjugate levels, copper-induced malondialdehyde levels and LDL-cholesterol content. According to these findings, we can say that the oxidation potential of LDL may be related to LDL-cholesterol content
