Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura is characterized by fever, acute renal failure, thrombocytopenia, microangiopathic hemolytic anemia and neurological abnormalities. Clinically this rarely seen disease (4-11/1.000.000) can be confused with other diseases that cause anemia such as disseminated intravasculer coagulation(DIC), hemolytic uremic syndrome(HUS) and Evans syndrome. Two cases were discussed and literature was reviewed.

Trombotik Trombositopenik Purpura (TTP) ; Atefl, akut böbrek yetmezli¤i, nörolojik bozukluklar, trombositopeni ve mikroanjiopatik hemolitik anemi ile seyreden bir sendromdur. Nadir görülen bu hastal›k (4-11/1.000.000), klinik olarak dissemine intravasküler koagulasyon (D‹K), hemolitik üremik sendrom (HÜS) ve Evans sendromu gibi anemi yapan di¤er nedenlerle kar›flabilir. ‹ki vaka nedeniyle, TTP güncel literatür ›fl›¤›nda tekrar gözden geçirilmifltir.
