The aim of this study was to evaluate space loss occurring in mixt dentition due to the early extraction of primary molars. Model analysis were performed to 54 children aged between 7-12 years wlio had lost primary molars, according to Moycrs and Gazilerli's prediction tables. Our results showed that space loss caused by early extraction of D was app. 2.06 mm in the lower arch and 1.23 in the upper, the closure caused by premature loss of E was 2.63 mm. and 2.29 mm. respectively. It was shown that a significant arch discrepancy could be seen related directly to the early loss of the primary molars and proper prevention should be taken.

Bu çalınmada karışık dişlenme dönemindeki çocuklarda süt azı dişlerinin erken kayıplarının arkta yol açabileceği meziodistal boyut kayıpları araştırıldı. 7-12 yaşla n arası 54 çocuğun alt-üst modelleri hazırlanarak her bir yarım çenenin yer kaybı, Moycrs vc Gaziler-li tablolarına göre analiz edildi. Süt IV'e bağlı yer kayıpları alt çenede 2.06 mm, üst çenede 1.23 mm. süt Ve bağlı yer kayıpları ise, alt çenede 2.63 mm. üst çenede 2.29 mm saptandı. Sonuç olarak süt dişlerinin erken dönemde kaybedilmesinin arkta Önemli ölçüde yer kaybı oluşturduğu ve ivedi koruyucu önlemler alınması gerekliliği vurgulandı.
