Abstract (2. Language):
The purpose of this in vitro study was to compare the antibacterial effectiveness of different pHvalues ofTi02 and Ca (OH)2 Ti02 and Ca(OH)2 pastes either atpH:7 orpH.16 were prepared. The antibacterial effect of these pastes was tested by agar diffusion technique on S. epidermidis, S. aureus, P. fluorescens, E. coli, K pneumoniae, S. mitts, S. mutam, S. sobrinus, Peptostreptococcus sp., Lactobacillus sp., Fusobacterium sp., P. gingivalis, B.fragilis, C. sporogenes, A. naeslundii, A. viscosus, C. albicans. Tİ02 pastes showed on inhibition zone with any of the test microorganisms. While Ca( OH) 2 pastes atpH: 7 and pH;10 were found to be ineffective on Lactobacillus Sp., Fusobacterium Sp., P. gingivalis and C. sprogenes inhibition zones of0.5-3.5 mm were detected with the other microorganisms. Ca(OH)2 with dif fernt pH values showed no significant difference when the antimicrobial effects on microorganisms is concerned.
Abstract (Original Language):
Bu in vitro çalışmada farklı pH'lardaki titanyum diok-sit (Tİ02) ve kalsiyum hidroksit (Ca (OH)a)'nin anti-mikrop etkilerinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. TİO2 ve Ca (OH)2 patları pH:7 ve pH:10 olmak üzere hazırlanmıştır. Patların antimikrop etkileri Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Peptostreptococcus sp., Lactobacillus sp., Fusobacte-rium sp., Porphyromonas gingivalis, Bacteroides fra-gilis, Clostridium sporogenes,Actinomyces naeslun-dii, Actinomyces viscosus, Clandida albicans mikroorganizmaları üzerinde agar diffüzyon tekniği kullanılarak test edilmiştir.
