GLYCOSAMINOGLYCANS IN GINGIVAL CREVICULAR FLUID OF PATIENTS WITH ADULT PERIODONTITIS

Journal Name:

Publication Year:

Abstract (2. Language):
Glycosaminoglycans (GAG's) are one of Hie basic substances of the hard and soft connective tissues. In tfiis research, GAG's in the crevicular fluid (CF) of the patients with adult periodontitis were determined electrop-horetically. GAG's which appear in CF due to tissue destruction were compared with the spots of standard GAG's. It was concluded that the appearance of GAG's in CF can be used as a biochemical marker of active destruction of the tissues.
Abstract (Original Language):
Glikozaminoglİkanlar (GAG) sert ve yumuşak bağ dokusunun temel maddelerinden biridir. Bu çalışmada, yetişkin periodontitisli hastaların dişeti oluğu sıvısında (DOS), elektroforetik olarak GAG'lar tayin edilmiştir. Doku harabiyetine bağlı olarak DOS'a geçen GAG'lar standart GAG'larm verdiği lekelerle karalaştırılmıştır. GAG'larm DOS'a geçişinin, aktif doku harabiye tinin biokimyasal belirteci olarak kullanılabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.
