Abstract (2. Language):
The effect of wearing and not weoring dentures on mandibular rest position in edentulous subjects were reported. In this study, 52 edentulous patients attending to our clinics were studied prior to completion of dentures. In all patients, the postural face height was measured in milimeters from a dot marked on the of the nose and the most prominent part of the chin. This dimension was measured with no dentures, smallest rest height (67.90 mm.) was recorded with no dentures in the mouth and the greatest rest height (70.33 mm.) found with both dentures in the mouth.
