Abstract (2. Language): 
The purpose of this review of the literature is to highlight the apical limit of the cleaning, shaping and obturation of root canals. Results revealed by authorities on this subject are presented and discussed. This article points out the need for the consensus about apical limit of root canal shaping and obturation, which appear to strongly influence the success of endodontic therapy.

Bu makalede amaç kök kanallarının temizlenme, şekillendirme ve doldurmasında apikal sınırın nerede olacağının açıklığa kavuşturulmasıdır. Bunun için endodontide dünya çapında otorite olan araştırıcıların bu konuda yaptıkları bilimsel çalışmalar ve onların sonunda ileri sürdükleri görüşler toplanarak bir sonuca ulaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu makale enodontik tedavinin başarısı üzerinde önemli etkisi olan apikal sınır konusunda bir ortak karara varılmasının gerekliliğini ortaya koymaktadır.
