Abstract (2. Language):
In the success of the maxillofacial prosthesis, retention has a great influence as good as aesthetic. There are various adhesive systems to hold the maxillofacial prosthesis in the suitable position. These are acrylic resin adhesives, silicon adhesives and pressure-sensitive adhesives. Silicon elastomers are the widely used materials nowadays. Choosing the suitable adhesive depends on the prosthetic material and the skin on which to be applied. The adhesives used for maxillofacial prosthesis have many superior properties. However, there is not an adhesive that has ideal properties, so many other studies must be carried on.
