Median mandibular cyst is a relatively rare, non-odontogenic cyst which is located in the middle part of the mandible. Sex distribution shows an equal predilection. This cyst has no age intervall for a tendency to occur. An 20 years-old female patient applied to our clinic for her third molar operations. During the radiologic diagnosis a radiolucent lesion was seen in the anterior region of the mandible. The lesion was removed under local anesthesia and specimen was processed for histological observation. The lesion was later diagnosed as median mandibular cyst. In this case report, treatment options and differential diagnosis were discussed.

Median mandibular kist; mandibulanın tam ortasında ender görülen non-odontojenik bir kisttir. Her iki cinste de eşit oranda görülebilir. Kistin görülmesi için belli bir yaş aralığı yoktur. 20 yaşındaki kadın hasta gömük 20 yaş dişlerinden opere olmak için kliniğimize başvurdu. Yapılan radyolojik muayene sırasında mandibular orta hatta radyolusent bir alana rastlandı. Median mandibular kist ön tanısı ile lokal anestezi altında kist tümüyle çıkarıldı. Histolojik tanı, median mandibular kist olarak bildirildi. Bu makalede, median mandibular kistin tedavisi ve ayırıcı tanı yöntemleri tartışıldı.
