A crisis is any significant event with potentially severe consequences that re­quire immediate action or response. Crisis management is the process of prepa­ring for mitigating, responding to and recovering from a crisis situation. It requ­ires (I ) an organized plan to ensure the safety and survival of self, community and organization, and (2) an understanding of the human response to stress. Crisis ma­nagement is a dynamic process that begins well before the critical event and ex­tends beyond its conclusion. The aim of this article is to explain crisis management from human resource management perspective. It is divided into three sections. In the first section, the theory and framework of crisis and crisis management is exp­lored. Secondly, crisis management process is analyzed. Finally, the article desc­ribes the human side of crisis management from human resource management perspective.

Kriz yönetimi günümüzde .sadece yönetsel bir yaklaşım değil aym zamanda psikoloji ve sosyoloji alanlarım da içeren kapsamlı senaryo uygulamalarına dö­nüşmüştür. Nihai amaç, krizi ortaya çıkmadan saptamak, tedbirler geliştirmek ve Çözümler üretmektir. Bu makalenin amacı, örgütsel düzeydeki kriz yönetimini ku­ramsal boyutlarıyla tanımlamak, kriz yönetiminin aşamalarını ortaya koymak ve kriz yönetim sürecini insan kaynakları yönetimi açısından tartışmaktır.
