It is discussed in this article the point of view of the Russian Primary Chronicle which is significant in the historyography of Russia. There is evaluation of the claims by the author of the Chronicle about the conversions of Russians to Christianity. The article deals with the roots of anti-Islamic attitude and the implications of Byzantine Church thought to Russian Church also.

Bu makalede Rus tarihi açısından önemli yere sahip olan Eski Zamanların Anlatısı kroniğinin İslam ve Müslümanlara bakış açısı ele alınmıştır. Aynı zamanda burada kronik yazarının Rusların Hıristiyanlığı seçimi konusunda ortaya koyduğu iddialar değerlendirilmiştir. İslam karşıtı algının temelleri ve Bizans Kilise düşüncesinin Rus Kilisesi'ne yansımalarına değinilmiştir.
