Abstract (2. Language):
İn this article, our aim is to obtain some knowledges about Bîrûnî's life and to learn his ideas about history of religion related with his method, as a historian of religion. Bîrûnî, who was the first a scientist to use the term of "history of religion", in his work titled as Tahkik mâ li'l-Hind, he managed to create/form and compare with each other a methodology for History of Religion. One of the distinctive features of this method is that has given emphasize to offer religious texts in their original forms.

Bu çalışmadaki hedefimiz, bir dinler tarihçisi olarak Bîrûnî'niri hayatıyla ilgili bazı bilgiler elde etmek ve onun Dinler Tarihi ile ilgili düşüncelerini ve bununla ilintili olarak metodunu öğrenmektir. Dinler Tarihi terimini ilk kez kullanan bilim adamı olarak Bîrûnî, Tahkik mâ li'l-Hind olarak adlandırdığı çalışmasında bir Dinler Tarihi metodolojisi oluşturmayı başarmıştır. Bu metodun ayırt edici özelliği dini metinlerin kendi orijinal formlarında verilmesine ve birbirleriyle karşılaştırılmasına özen göstermesidir.
