Beginning from the prehistorical era preservation of images had been an utopic ideal for human being. Starting from the 19Ul century the art of photography has been used in journalism activity. Joseph Pulitzer was the first journalist who applied news photos in journalism area. In this way he not only increased the circulation of the newspaper but also got the power of being popular. In 20th century, during the Cold War and Vietnam War using of photography had a great effect on creating public opinion- ideologically.
