CUMHURİYETTEN GÜNÜMÜZE BASININ GELİŞİMİ VE FOTOĞRAFÇILIK II. BÖLÜM

The paper discusses the development of the press and photography throughout the years. The process starting with the beginning of the republic till the recent day is taken as a period of analysis. Academic studies are the reflection of the systematized knowledge. They all are produced in a system not only considering the content and the structural qualities of an academic research, but also the language and physical qualities as well. Thus, it could be possible to have two triangles having the same base. The development could be summarized in three different eras having unique circumstances, qualities and aspects of progress. After agreeing upon the definition of the reporter and the news, we could easily find the dates specific to the Turkish news history. The clusters of history could be classified as follows. a. 1923-1945 period b. 1946-1960 period c. 1961-198 0 period d. Afte r 1980 In all these periods, the meaning and function of the photography has some specific qualities to be discussed. The paper also discusses the current problematic issues ending up with some possible suggestions and solutions.
