In this paper, firstly, criterias which we should consider while we design children playgrounds are determined. Then detailed informations about design components which are necessary for playground planning are given and children playgrounds are classified. Finally, after a quality planning and design, informations about playgrounds safety and maintance issues which are necessary for sustaining playgrounds are discussed.

Bu çalışmada öncelikle Çocuk Oyun Alanları tasarlanırken hangi kriterlerin gözönünde tutulması gerektiği belirtilmiş, oyun alanları planlanırken gerekli tasarım bileşenleri hakkında ayrıntılı bilgiler verilmiş ve Çocuk Oyun Alanlarının sınıflandırılması yapılmıştır. Kaliteli bir planlama ve tasarımın ardından, oyun alanlarının sürdürülebilirliği için gerekli iki önemli faktör olan oyun alanlarının güvenliği ve bakımları konularına değinilmiştir.
