In this study, the effects of some considerable factors arised from manufacture and post-manufacture on the warping of MDF and particleboard were evaluated. Effects of residual stress, panel vertical and horizontal density profile, caused by hot pressing during panel manufacture on the warping were investigated. As for post-manufacture, effects of moisture changes, laminating, and stacking on the warping of the panels were reported. It was also stated precautions to prevent the risk of warping of the panels.

Bu çalışmada, MDF ve yongalevhanın biçim bozukluğuna (çarpılma), neden olan önemli faktörler ele alınmıştır. Levha üretimi sırasında sıcak preslemeden kaynaklanan kalıcı gerilmeler, levha dikey ve yatay yoğunluk profilinin levhanın çarpılması üzerine etkileri değerlendirilmiştir. Üretim sonrası ile ilgili olarak ise rutubet değişimleri, yüzey kaplama malzemelerinin levhaya uygulanması ve levha istifleme şartlarının etkileri incelenmiştir. Ayrıca, levhalarda çarpılma riskini önlemek için alınması gereken tedbirler açıklanmıştır.
