Abstract (2. Language):
This study deals with the panegyric that al-Sharif Muhammad b.
Hasan wrote for Sultan Abdulhamid II and its analysis. al-Sharîf was sent into
excile to Rodos because taking part in the Yaman rebellion in 1882. About one
year later, when he heard the good news about that he had been forgiven by the
Sultan he praised him with this panegyric.

Bu makale, Yemen âlimlerinden eş-Şerîf Muhammed b. Abdullah'ın ,
sürgünde iken, Osmanlı Sultanı II. Abdülhamit'e yazdığı methiyesini ve bu
methiyenin tahlilini ele almaktadır. 1872 yılında Yemen isyanına karışmasından
dolayı Rodos Adasına sürgüne gönderilen eş-Şerîf Muhammed, affedileceği
müjdesini alınca şiirleriyle Sultan II. Abdülhamit'e methiyede bulunur.
