Abstract (2. Language):
J. Dobretsberger was one of the immigrant German scholars who left his country protesting
tih Hitler’s regime and found a shelter in Turkey. After W. Röpke’s leave in 1937,
Dobretsberger took up lectures in the Faculty of Economics, The Univers ity of Istanbul
between the years of 1937-1941. This artic le examines his Turkey years in the light of official
documents. It is thence aimed at to shed light one of the neglected aspects of the immigrant
German economists.

J. Dobretsberger Almanya’da Hitler Rejimini protesto edip Türkiye’ye siginan bilim
adamlarindan biridir. W. Röpke’nin 1937’de ayrilmasindan sonra I.Ü. Iktisat Fakültes i’nde
1941’e degin ders ler verdi. Bu makale, resmi belgelerin aydinliginda onun Türkiye yillarini
tahlil etmek ve göçmen Alman Iktisatçilarin ihmal edilmis cephesine isik tutmayi
amaçlamaktadir.
