In this study, the treatises of Arithmetic and Geometry of Ikhwân as-Safâ’s work Rasâil have been discussed. In this article, the perspectives of Ikhwân to sciences of arithmetic and geometry, their way of investigating these sciences, their importance that give these sciences and their resources, have been tried to present. The content, topics, philosophical value of İkhwân’s treatises of Arithmetic and Geometry have been thoroughly probed. Also, this study has particularly examined relationships of arithmetic, geometry and philosophy.

Bu çalışmada İhvân-ı Safâ’nın Resâil adlı eserinin özellikle “Sayılar (Aritmetik) Risalesi” ile “Hendese (Geometri) Risalesi” esas alınmıştır. Makalede İhvân’ın aritmetik ve geometri ilimlerine bakış açısı, bu ilimleri ele alış biçimi, bu ilimlere verdiği önem ve yararlandığı kaynaklar ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. İhvân’ın aritmetik ve geometri risalelerinin içeriği, konuları ve felsefî değeri de etraflıca irdelenmiştir. Ayrıca bu çalışma, özellikle İhvân-ı Safâ’da aritmetik, geometri ve felsefe ilişkilerini incelemektedir.
