Obstrüktif Uyku Apne Sendromunda Gastroduodenal Erozyon ve Peptik Ülser İnsidansı

Gastroduodenal Erosion and Peptic Ulcer Incidence in Patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome

Journal Name:

Publication Year:

Abstract (2. Language):
Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the gastroduodenal epitelial cell damage in patients with moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. Material and method: Fifteen patient (apnea-hipopnea index >15) and 15 control (apnea-hipopnea index <5) were included in the study. Elective upper gastrointestinal endoscopy was performed to all of the patients andcontrolgroup. Helicobacter pylori wasdetected byrapidurease test (CLO test). Results: When compaired with the control group, gastroduodenal erosion were more frequent in the patients (80.0% vs 26.7%, p=0.009). Peptic ulcer was not detected in either patient or control group. Helicobacter pylori infection frequencywasnotdiff erentin patientandcontrolgroup(53.3% vs 60%, p=1.000). Conclusion: We found that moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea syndrome may be implicated in gastroduodenal epitelial cell damage.
Abstract (Original Language):
Amaç: Bu çalışmada obstrüktif uyku apne sendromu (OUAS) olan hastalarda mide-duodenum epitelyal hücre hasarı varlığı araştırılmıştır. Yöntem: Çalışmaya orta-ağır OUAS (apne-hipopne indeksi >15) tanısı konan 15 hasta ile kontrol grubu oluşturulmak üzere polisomnografi tetkiki normal sonuçlanan (apne-hipopne indeksi <5) 15 olgu alındı. Bu hastaların tümüne standart üst gastrointestinal endoskopik tetkik uygulandı. Helicobacter pylori varlığı hızlı üreaz testi (CLO testi) ile saptandı. Bulgular: Orta-ağır OUAS tanısı konan hasta grubunda gastroduodenal erozyonsaptanma oranı%80, kontrolgrubunda ise%26.7idi(p=0.009). Her ikigrupta da peptikülsersaptanmadı. Helicobacter pylori enfeksiyonuhasta grubunda %53.3, kontrol grubunda %60 oranında pozitif bulundu ve her iki grup arasında anlamlı fark saptanmadı (p=1.000). Sonuç: Bu çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre orta-ağır OUAS, gastroduodenal epitel hasarı gelişimine yatkınlık oluşturmaktadır.
