The concept of globalization accelerated the transfer of the trade from the local point to the international dimension. This process also played an important role in opening the horizons of entrepreneurs. The number of the SMEs (Small and Medium Sized Enterprises) and their importance for the economy of the countries have been increasing day by day. In today's information age, besides getting the information, it is important to use the information effectively and create value. This context increased the value of the innovation that means renewal of science and technology that provide economical and social benefits and identifies a process. So for this, a good R&D level is required. The increase of the R&D level forms a basis for the innovation to move. The value added tax obtained by the performance increase based on innovation brings sustainable competitive advantage to the SMEs that adapt itself to the change when we consider the today's increasing rate of the competition.The objective of the study is examining whether there is a relation between the tendency for making innovation in SMEs in Konya and the level of innovation performance achievement. The t-test, chi-square test, correlation and regression analyzes were carried out as a relation test on SPSS 15 version programme to the goal directed processes. According to this, it is found out that there is a relation between the degrees of involving in innovation making tendency and "using its R&D department" as a result of survey application conducted over 151 SMEs. Besides, an important relation in moderate level in positive direction has been found out between the tendency for making innovation and the parameters showing innovation performance achievement degree.Abstract (Original Language):
Küreselleşme olgusu ticaretin lokal düzeyden uluslararası boyuta taşınma sürecini hızlandırmıştır. Bu süreç girişimcilerin ufkunu açmada da önemli rol oynamıştır. Ülkelerin ekonomilerinde KOBİ'lerin sayıları ve ağırlıkları gün geçtikçe artış kaydetmektedir. İçinde bulunduğumuz Bilgi Çağında bilgiye sahip olmanın yanı sıra onu etkin kullanabilmek ve değer yaratabilmekte önemlidir. Bu bağlam, bilim ve teknolojinin ekonomik ve toplumsal yarar sağlayacak şekilde yenilenmesi anlamına gelen ve bir süreci ifade eden inovasyonun kıymetini artırmaktadır. Bunun için iyi bir Ar-Ge düzeyine sahip olunması gereklidir. Ar-Ge düzeyinin yükselmesi inovasyonun da önünü açmaya zemin hazırlayacaktır. İnovasyon sonucu verim artışının sağlayacağı katma değer, günümüzde rekabetin artan dozajı da göz önüne alınırsa, bu değişime ayak uyduran KOBİ'lere sürdürülebilir rekabet avantajı kazandıracaktır.
Araştırmanın amacı, Konya ilinde faaliyet gösteren KOBİ'lerin inovasyon yapma eğilimi ile inovasyon performans başarı derecesi arasında ilişki olup olmadığını ortaya koymaktır. Amaca yönelik olarak SPSS 15. sürüm programında ilişki testi olarak t testi, ki-kare testi, korelasyon ve regresyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Buna göre 151 KOBİ üzerinde yapılan anket uygulaması sonucunda; İşletmenin inovasyon yapma eğilimine katılma derecesi ile "kendi Ar-Ge bölümünü kullanma" arasında ilişki bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, inovasyon yapma eğilimi ile inovasyon performansı başarı derecelerini gösteren parametreler arasında pozitif yönde, orta derecede önemli bir ilişki bulunmuştur.
