Abstract (Original Language):
There is a variety of syllabus on Sanskrit language in different school of West Bengal. Sanskrit
teachers teach Sanskrit very little, they finish the finish the lesson of Sanskrit by teaching one or two couplet of
Sanskrit in class VII & VIII. As a result the students could not able to learn Sanskrit language, even, they could not
know the Devnagari letter of Sanskrit language. Students of Sanskrit are promoted in upper without teaching
Sanskrit details in class VII & VIII. Some people roughly campaign against Sanskrit language. They become
frustrated to observe that there is no use of Sanskrit language in daily life activities. The Sanskrit language is
recognized as modern Indian language in Supreme Court, but there is rare use of modern words of Sanskrit
language and grammar in the content of Sanskrit books.
