al-Mutanabbî is a great poet who existed in the first half of fourth century of Hegira. He was born in 303/915 in Qûfa and noticed with his extraordinary intelligence and ability of poetry. He took course from important savants in Qûfa. On the other hand he walked around Damascus together his father and learned unmixed Arabic from bedouins in desert, and gained perfection in it. He had a narcissist character. Although His real name was Ahmad, he was famous with al-Mutanabbi (Assertor of prophethood). This is an important evidence of his narcissist characteristic stucture. He obtained the real fame after his making acquainted with The Hamdânid Ruler Sayf aldawla, and was well-known by his eulogies for that ruler. One of the eulogies intended for mentioned ruler is the poem that was subject for our article. The poem being mentioned was composed on conquesting of Sayf al-dawla Mar‘ash (A great city in Turkey).
