Melkersson- Rosenthal syndrome (MRS) is a rare disorder of unknovvn etiopathogenesis. This syndrome is characterized by a triad of recurrent orofacial edema, relapsing facia! palsy, and scrotal tongue. İn this report a 24 year old man with the typicai clinical symptoms and signs of MRS is reported. İn addition, the literatüre on MRS is revievved with respect to incidence, etiology, clinical features, pathology, diagnosis and treatment.

Melkersson Rosenthal sendromu (MRS), etyopatogenezi tam olarak bilinmeyen, seyrek görülen bir hastalıktır. Bu sendrom tekrarlayan orofasiyal ödem, periferik fasiyai paralizi atakları ve skrotal dil ile karakterizedir. Bu çalışmada MRS 'nun klinik özelliklerini gösteren 24 yaşında bir erkek hastayı sunarak bu sendromun insidansı, etyolojisi, patolojisi, klinik özellikleri, ayırıcı tanı ve tedavisini ilgili literatür bilgileri ışığında gözden geçirdik.
