Abstract (2. Language):
The variations were detected in the azygos vein system during dissection of the posterior thoracic wall of a 62-year-old male cadaver. The hemiazygos vein and the accessory hemiazygos vein were underdeveloped. The right and the left ascending iumbar velns united and formed the azygos vein at the level of the Thl 1 vertebra! body. The azygos vein was coursed on the midime with the thoracic duct and ended in the superior vena cava at the level of the Th4 vertebra. On the left side of the vertebral column; the veins from 3rd to 1 Oth intercostals spaces united and formed three trunks (superior, middle and inferior) vvhich dralned into the azygos vein separately Knovviedge of variations in the azygos vein system is important in mediastinal surgery and also in the interpretation of radiographs related with this region.

62 yaşındaki bir erkek kadavranın toraks arka duvarının diseksiyonu sırasında azygos ven sistemine ait varyasyonlar tespit edildi- V. hemiazygos ve v. hemiazygos accessoria gelişmemişti V. lumbalis ascendens dextra ve v. lumbalis ascendens sinistra birleşerek Th 11 vertebra korpusu hizasında v azygosü oluşturuyordu. V. azygos orta hatta ductus thoracicus ile birlikte seyrederek Th4 vertebra hizasında v. cava superior'a açılıyordu. Columna vertebralis'in sol tarafında; 3.-10. interkostal aralıklarda bulunan venier üst, orta ve ait olmak üzere 3 adet kök oluşturarak v. azygos'a drene oluyorlardı. Azygos ven sistemindeki anatomik varyasyonların bilinmesi mediastinal cerrahi ve bölge ile ilgili radyografilerin yorumlanmasında önemlidir.
