Abstract (2. Language):
It is difficult to capture an entire objectivity in social sciences. Moreover, the so-called objectivity is not even as meaningful and as important as it appears to be at first glance. Since perception is realized through a number of processes instead of directly, it is not an absolute formation at all, contrary to what the positivist approach claims it to be. Rather, perception is a relative phenomenon. Documents and pieces of knowledge reflect the truth only partially. Subjective qualities of people who construct knowledge and science always get into play. The individual himself may not attain a neutral standing before a given situation; because those facing him/ regard him as part of a "party". An epistemological approach may not exaggerate and overvalue objectivity.

Sosyal bilimlerde nesnelliği yakalamak zordur. Üstelik ilk bakıştaki kadar anlamlı ve önemli de değildir. Algı doğrudan olmak yerine bazı süreçler yoluyla gerçekleştiğinden; olgucu anlayışın dediği kadar mutlak değil, ancak bağıl bir oluşumdur. Belgeler ve bilgiler gerçeği ancak kısmen verirler. Bilime, o bilmi oluşturanların öznellikleri de ilâve olur. Bir süje olarak bizzat birey, bazen istese de tarafsız olamaz; çünkü karşısındaki muhatabı onu "taraf" olarak görür. Bilgi-bilimsel (epistemolojik) bir yaklaşım tarafsızlığı abartmayacağı gibi ona büyük bir kıymet de yüklemeyebilir.
