Abstract (2. Language):
Turkey comprises the richest reserve of boron minerals in the world. Nowadays some news appeared about energy production from various boron compounds. The system that produced hydrogen energy is called fuel cell and it is claimed that fuel cells will be a most important alternative energy source in the future. It is reported that energy is produced from a fuel cell in which sodium borohydride is used as a pure hydrogen source and from batteries including sodium borohydride and some boron compounds. The news was published that these boron-based batteries are used in some prototype devices in USA and Canada. Energy obtained from boron-based batteries is higher than those from the classical batteries and its negative environmental effect is lower than the others.
Abstract (Original Language):
Ülkemiz bor minerali yönünden dünyada en zengin rezerve sahiptir. Önümüzdeki on yıllarda en önemli alternatif enerji kaynağı olacağı ileri sürülen yakıt hücreleri hidrojen enerjisinin elde edildiği sistemlerdir.
