ÇİFT KORNİYERLİ KESME KUVVETİ AKTARAN BİRLEŞİMLERİN DOĞRUSAL OLMAYAN DAVRANIŞININ MODELLENMESİ

MODELING OF NONLINEAR BEHAVIOR OF DOUBLE-ANGLE SHEAR CONNECTIONS

Abstract (2. Language):
Shear (or simple) connections in steel construction are primarily used to transfer the support reaction of a simply supported beam to a column or a beam. A shear connection should be strong enough to be able to transfer the shear force, and flexible and ductile enough to accommodate the rotation demand of the beam end. The double-angle shear connection is one of the most commonly used simple shear connections, and many investigations have been conducted on the behavior and design of this type of connection. This study presents a simplified model (fiber model) for predicting the inelastic behavior of double angle connections and a design example.
