When human being is at stake, we encounter artistic ability as one of the highest forms of expressing ourselves. Artistic expression, with all its dimensions from cave pictures to Dadaistic rapture, determines substantially our cultural development. Today cinematic vision, which is explored by the possibilities of industrial revolution era, represents almost the locomotive power of such configuration. In this paper, we tried to examine the infrastructure understanding of Tarkovsky to be brought for the art of cinema by handling his evaluations on the archaic problems of aesthetic. The artistic object and the relation between meaning and art that stretch out to his own era are evaluated within his own thoughts. It is also the focus motivation of this study to investigate that what kind of metaphysical possibility could provide the cinematic vision for the materialistic tragedy of modern human being.

insan soz konusu oldugunda sanatsal yeti, kendimizi ifade bisimlerimizin en yuce formlanndan birisi olarak kar§imiza sikar. Magara resimlerinden, Dadaci esrimeye tum boyutlariyla sanatsal ifade, kulturel geli§imimizi buyuk oranda belirler. Endustri devrimi saginin imkanlariyla kefedilen 'Sinemasal Goruntu', bugun bu yapilandirmanin neredeyse lokomotif gucunu temsil etmektedir. Cali§mada, Tarkovsky'nin estetigin kadim sorularina yaptigi degerlendirmeleri esas alarak, sinema sanatina kazandirmayi du§undugii alt yapiyi incelemeye sali§tik. Ozellikle kendi sagina uzanan sanatsal nesne ve sanat'in anlam'la ili§kisini, onun du§unce evreninden degerlendirdik. 'Sinemasal Goruntu'nun, modern insanin ozdeksel trajedisine nasil bir metafizik imkan sundugu ise sali§manin temel motivasyonu oldu.
