Abstract (2. Language):
Turkish public opinion is curious about the momentum of the futuristic development of the EU-Turkey relations over the recent talks between Merkel and Erdogan on the Syrian immigrants. In this context, some developments such as the resumption of the negotiations, the declaration of that three chapters will be open to negotiate and searching of the joint attitude over the Middle Eastern question increased the expectancy of normalizing the relations. This article attempts to analyze the main structure land instutional problems which delay the integration process within the socio-political and cultural perspectives.

Suriyeli mülteciler üzerinden Alman Şansölyesi Merkel ile yeniden başlayan müzakerelerin AB-Türkiye ilişkilerine yeni bir ivme kazandırıp kazandıramayacağı sorusu Türk kamuoyunun gündemine taşınmıştır. Bu bağlamda müzakerelerin yeniden başlaması, üç yeni faslın açılacağının deklare edilmesi ve Ortadoğu konusunda işbirliği arayışlarına girişilmesi ilişkilerin yeni bir faza taşınması umudunu artırmış durumdadır. Bu makale, entegrasyon sürecinin niçin tıkandığını sosyo-politik ve kültürel boyutlarıyla analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır.
