Abstract (2. Language):
Heterotopia is a localized or diffuse neuronal migration disorder. Clinically it may be associated with mental retardation, epileptic seizures, psychiatric symptoms or systemic disorders. Epileptic seizures are seen in about 90% of cases and are usually resistant to treatment. The disorder may present itself at any age, up to adulthood. In this paper, we report a case of heterotopia presenting with epileptic seizures and hemiparesis in which seizures were fairly well controlled with monotherapy.
