Abstract (2. Language):
In this study, the prostatic tissue of 48 patients diagnosed as BPH and 27 patients diagnosed as prostatic adenocarcinoma were evaluated histopathologically and prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN) rates were determined. High grade PIN (PIN HI) was found 70 % in prostatic adenocarcinoma cases and 8 % in BPH cases. The difference between groups was statistically significant (p<0.005). These results were correlated with the studies done before. As a result, high grade PIN lesions were seen more in adenocancer cases and as shown in various studies, we agree that these lesions could be a premalign lesion of prostatic adenocarcinoma.
