This study has done for determining the relationship between the stage 3 premature retinopaty (ROP) and intraventricular hemorrahage (IVH). This retrospective study has done on the 133 preterm baby who are in the gestation week of 35 and under. Eye examinations are done in the 4th week of postnatal. 15 of those babies (%11.2) have been diagnosed for stage 3 ROP. Cranial ultrasonography ( US ) has been done between the 4th and 6th week of postnatal. IVH has been evaluated from stage I to 4. The birth weight, gestation age and the sex has been determined. Gestation age of 133 premature babies were between 27 and 35 weeks old (32.20±1.86), birth weights between 750 gr. and 1750gr. (1306.92 ± 1.86 ). Due to stage 3 ROP, laser or criotheraphy has been carried, out on 15 babies ( % 11.27 ). IVH has been developed on 18 babies ( % 13.53 ); 10 of these babies ( % 55.5 ) developed IVH stage off 4 of these ( % 22.2 ) stage 2, 2 of these ( % 11.1) stage 3 andSDÜ Tıp Fakültesi Dergisi 2000; 7(4): 28-31 İntraventriküler Hemoraji ve Evre 3 Retinopati/Özkoz.acı, Gökyayla, Ziylan ve ark. 2 of t/ıem ( % //./) has developed stage 4. Due to Stage 3 ROP, lazer or criotheraphy has been carried out for 2 of these 18 babies (%//./) who have developed IVH. Comparing with the 13 babies who have not developed IVH, there was no indication of a reasonable statistical difference. ( p - I , Fischer exact test ). Similarly, no reasonable statistical difference has been found between the IVH and namely birth weight, gestation week, and sex ( p = I , p = 0.5238 , p = 0.4667 ). IVH stage 2 has been developed on one who has been found stage 3 ROP and IVH stage 3 has been developed on the other . No reasonable difference has been found between other stage of ROP and IVH. { p - 0.2211 ). There was not any reasonable difference between ROP and the weight of IVH.

Bu çalışma evre 3 prematüre retinopatisi ( ROP ) ile intraventriküler hemoraji ( IVH) arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı. Bu retrospektif çalışma gestasyon haftası 35 ve altında olan 133 preterm bebekte yapıldı. Göz muayeneleri postnatal 4. haftada yapıldı . Bu bebeklerin 15' inde ( % II .2 ) evre 3 ROP saptandı . Cranial ultrasonogra.fi ( US ) postnatal 4 ile 6. hafta arasında yapıldı . IVH cranial US ile evre I'den evre 4'e kadar değerlendirildi. Doğum ağırlığı, gestasyon yaşı ve cinsiyet belirlendi. İstatiksel metod olarak Fisher' s exact test kullanıldı.133 prematüre bebeğin gestasyon yaşları 27 ile 35 hafta arasında (32.20±1.86) doğum ağırlıkları 750gr. ile 1750 gr. (]306.92 ± 1.86 ) arasındaydı . 15 bebeğe ( % II.27 ) Evre 3 ROP nedeniyle lazer veya crioterapi uygulandı . 18 bebekte ( % 13.53 ) IVH gelişti; bu bebeklerin 10 tanesi ( % 55.5 ) evre 1 , 4'ünde ( % 22.2 ) evre 2 , 2' sinde ( % ILI ) evre3 , 2'sinde ( %I1.I) evre 4 IVH gelişti . IVH gelişen 18 bebekten 2'sine ( %1I./ ) Evre 3 ROP nedeniyle lazer veya crioterapi uygulandı. IVH gelişmeyen 13 bebek ile karşılaştırıldığında istatiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunmadı (p = / ). IVH ile doğum ağırlığı, gestasyon haftası , cinsiyet arasında istatiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunmadı. (p = / , p - 0.5238 , p - 0.4667 ). Evre 3 ROP saptanan 1 vakada evre 2 IVH, diğerinde evre 3 IVH gelişti. ROP' un diğer evreleriyle IVH karşılaştırıldığında anlamlı fark bulunmadı ( p = 0.2211 ). ROP ile IVH' tün ağırlığı arasında da anlamlı fark yoktu ( p = 0.1599 ) . PVL ile kistik değişikliklerin görüldüğü cranial US yapıldığı zaman ile ROP'un ağırlığı arasında bir ilişki bulunmamış olmasına rağmen nörolojik prognoz ile ROP'un ağırlığı arasında bir ilişki olmadığı sonucuna varılamaz •
