Abstract (2. Language): 
Serum lipid levels have been shown difference in patients with thalassemia major (TM). A total 123 subjects (80 TM and 43 healthy children) were participated to measure serum cholesterol, LDL and HDL-cholesterol and thigliserid levels. Serum cholesretol, LDL and HDL-cholesterol were statistically low (p<0.001), trigliserid levels were high in patients with TM (p<0.001).

Talasemi majorlü (TM ) hastalarda serum lipid değerlerinin farklı olduğu gösterilmiştir. 80 TM lu hasta, 43 sağlıklı kontrol grubu olmak üzere 123 kişide kolesterol, trigliserid, LDL ve HDL-kolesterol değerleri çalışıldı. TM lu hastalarda sağlıklı kontrol grubuna göre kolesterol, HDL-Kol, LDL-Kolesterol düzeyleri anlamlı olarak düşük(p<0.001), trigliserid düzeyi ise yüksek bulunmuştur(p<0.001).
