In this study, the effects of household consumption expenditures, public expenditures, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and foreign trade deficit of macro variables on domestic savings were examined during the period of 2000-2014 in Turkey. For this purpose, the stationary levels of the quarterly data of variables in 2000-2014 were investigated with the unit root tests of the Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF), Phillips-Perron. Engle-Granger co-integration test was applied, the long and the short term analyzes were done with the model of Dynamics Ordinary Least Square Analysis (DOLS). According to the analysis, the growth of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in this period was an important factor on the increase in savings. The increase in the foreign trade balance also affected the savings partially in the positive direction. The increases of the public expenditures and the household consumption expenditures also negatively affected the savings.

Bu çalışmada, Türkiye'de 2000-2014 döneminde hanehalkı tüketim harcamaları, kamu harcamaları, Gayri Safi Yurtiçi Hâsıla (GSYH) ve dış ticaret açığı makro değişkenlerinin yurtiçi tasarruflara etkileri incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla değişkenlerin 2000-2014 çeyrek dönem verilerinin durağanlık seviyeleri, Genişletilmiş Dickey-Fuller (ADF), Phillips-Perron (PP) birim kök testleri ile araştırılmıştır. Engle-Granger Eşbütünleşme testi uygulanmış, uzun ve kısa dönem analizleri Dinamik En Küçük Kareler (DEKK) modeliyle yapılmıştır. Analize göre bu dönemde GSYH artışı tasarrufların artmasında önemli bir etkendir. Dış ticaret açığındaki artış da, tasarrufları kısmi olarak pozitif yönde etkilemiştir. Kamu harcamaları ve hanehalkı harcamalarındaki artışlar ise tasarrufları negatif etkilemiştir.
