Abstract (2. Language): 
Rheumatologic and osteoarticular syndromes occur frequently in chronic haemodialysis patients. The number and severity of these complications increase with the time on hemodialysis (HD). Beta-2 microglobulin accumulates in the soft tissue in HD patients due to its low level of clearance. Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is one of the clinical expressions of this accumulation. Early diagnosis and treat¬ ment of CTS is important, since being late may lead to permanent defect and/or resistant symptoms.

Kronik hemodiyaliz hastalarında romatizmal ve osteoartiküler sendromlar sıklıkla ortaya çıkmaktadır. Diyaliz süresinin uzamasıyla birlikte bu tür komplikasyonların sayısı ve şiddeti artmaktadır. Hemodiyaliz (HD) hastalarında P2 mikroglobülinin yeteri kadar kli - rensi sağlanamadığı için yumuşak dokularda birikir. Karpal tünel sendromu, bu birikimin klinik yansımalarından biridir. Karpal tünel sendromunda erken tanı ve tedavi önemlidir; gecikilirse kalıcı sakatlık ve/veya dirençli semptomlara neden olur.
