Abstract (2. Language):
NSAID that has analgesic and antiinjlamatuary effects via inhibiting prostaglandins , are frequently prescribed for chronic and acute pain. Although wellknown gastric side effects, systemic blood pressure has not been paid attented effectively. In the literature, there is limited data about effects of COX selective NSAID on blood pressure. In our study normatensive 52patients using nimesulid and naproxane sodium with similir features of generalised osteoathritis, ambulatuary blood pressure were measured. As a result, COX selective—nimesulid has little effect than COX-unselective naproxane
Abstract (Original Language):
Prostaglandinleri inhibe ederek analjezik ve antiinflamatuvar etkinlik sağlayan NSAİİ kronik veya akut ağrı yakınmaları bulunan olgulara sıklıkla reçete edilmektedir. NSAİİ'ların İyi bilinen gastrik yan etkilerine karşın sistemik kan basıncı üzerine olan yeterince dikkate alınmamaktadır. Bu yan etki uzun süreli bu ilaçları kullanmak zorunda kalan yaşlı hastalarda önem kazanabilir. Literatürde COX selektivitesi gösteren NSAİİ'lerin kan basıncı üzerine olan etkilerini inceleyen sınırlı sayıda çalışma mevcuttur. Bu çalışmada nimesulid ve naproksen sodyum kullanan benzer özelliklere sahip normotansif, jeneralize osteoartritli 52 olguda ambulatuvar kan basıncı ölçümleri yapılmış COX selektivitesi gösteren nimesulidin COX selektivitesi göstermeyen Naproksen sodyuma göre sistolik kan basıncı üzerine daha az etkili olduğu gösterilmiştir.
