Abstract (2. Language):
Every science has its own method of study and
research, which lets them reach correct, sufficient and
consistent knowledge. In all scientific studies, one of the
elements which is as much important as the ‘sources’
and the ‘theses’ that are put forward is these methods. As
in other braches of science, the research methods of the
science of literature are also of great importance in terms of having access to correct and sufficient information.
Therefore, the aim of this study is to determine the
research methods of science of literature, in general, and
‘Modern Turkish Literature’, in private, in a broad sense,
and to establish the characteristics of a scientific,
objective, comprehensive and qualified research.

Her bilim dalının kendi mahiyetine göre çalısma ve
arastırma, yani doğru, yeterli ve tutarlı bilgiye ulasma
usulleri vardır. Bütün bilimsel çalısmalarda “kaynaklar”
ve ileri sürülen “tezler” kadar önemli olan bir diğer unsur
da bu usullerdir. Diğer bilim dallarında olduğu gibi edebiyat
biliminin arastırma usulleri de doğru ve yeterli bilgiye
ulasmada büyük öneme sahiptir. O sebeple bu çalısmada
genel olarak edebiyat biliminin, özel olarak “Yeni
Türk Edebiyatı” bilim dalının arastırma usullerini genel
hatlarıyla belirlemek ve bilimsel, objektif, kapsamlı, nitelikli
bir arastırmanın özelliklerini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıstır
