Abstract (2. Language):
In this article we discuss the historical adventure of the Uighurs, who has significant place in Turkish history and is one of the foremost Turkish tribes in Turkish language and culture with the alphabet they used, the works of writing and translation they produced, and also their relationship with the Chinese, as far as with the other Turkish tribes, and furthermore their place in Turkishness under the consideration of data achieved from Dîvânü Lügati’t-Türk.

Bu yazıda Türk tarihinde önemli bir yeri bulunan ve alfabeleriyle, meydana getirdikleri telif ve tercüme eserleriyle Türk dili ve kültürünün en önde gelen boylarından olan Uygur Türklerinin tarihî macerası, Çinlilerle ilişkileri, diğer Türk boylarıyla münasebeti, Türklük içindeki yeri Dîvânü Lügati’t-Türk’ün verileri de göz önünde tutularak ele alınmıştır.
