Abstract (2. Language):
The disease named by entrapment syndrome or compression neuropathy is a clinical entity in which the peripheral nerve is com¬pressed in the anatomical tunnels through their path. The most common reasons are trauma, anatomical abnormalities, tumors, synovitis, endocrine and metabolic disorders, and vitamin B6 defi¬ciency. This syndrome can be presented as acute or chronic sta¬tus. In this review, the etiology and pathophysiology of the com¬pression neuropathies will be discussed followed by the evalua¬tion of all of them seen in the upper extremity one by one begin¬ning from cervical region to the distal point.
