Abstract (2. Language):
This study concentrates on the urban public transportation system and analyses in detail the current status of Istanbul, Turkey. In this study, the current condition is analysed and new model suggestions are developed with using axiomatic design approach. We can determine the aim of this study is to propose a new model for urban public transportation systems to increase its efficiency with using AD principles. This study, based on expert interviews, identifies the main factors contributing to design process of urban public transportation systems.
