Geçici Takipneli Yenidoğan Olguların İrdelenmesi

The Evaluation of Cases With Transient Tachypnea of Newborn

Publication Year:

Abstract (2. Language):
Transient tachypnea of the newborn (TTN) is a clinical situation due to the delay in fetal lung fluid reabsorbtion and is frequently encountered in the first few hours after labor. In our study, we examined newborns admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit with the diagnosis at TTN between September 1997 and April 2000. The encountered risk factors for TTN were male gender, prematurity, delivery by cesarean section and fetal distress. TTN was prolonged in cases whose respiration rate at the admission were higher than 80/min, blood gases were out of normal limits, and those who had perinatal risk factors.
