In this study contributing factors to the decision making process of referees are investigated. In this study is used case study sampling of purposal sampling. In this study semi structured interview method is used. Content analysis is performed since the collected data will be converted to a story. At this time, in this study descriptive analyses method is used. As a result, most important contributing factor to the referees’ decision making process is the spectators.

Bu çalışmada, basketbol hakemlerinin karar vermelerine etki eden temalar araştırmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada amaçlı örnekleme yönteminden kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada görüşme yöntemi (yarı yapılandırılmış) kullanılmıştır. Veriler bilgisayar ortamında metin şekline dönüştürüleceği için içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Bu analiz sonucunda da belirli temalar oluşturulmuştur. Aynı zamanda betimleme analizi de kullanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak hakemler karar vermelerine etki eden en önemli faktör olarak seyirci faktörünü algılamaktadırlar.
