Abstract (2. Language):
Turk's Oghuz Kagan, Kitabi-Dede Korkut, Manas, Alpamish, Koroghlu and other epics which artisti-cally addressed their own history are recognized as unique pieces of the world cultural history.The translating the Epos of Koroghlu, to the European languages is the important issue. The article touches upon the popularity of the heroic epic "Korogly" in Europe within a short period of time right after the publication of Alexander Chodzko. Moreover, it deals with the issues how the epic caused the interest of many scholars and researchers and emphasizes the scientific importance and role of this publication in the study of the epic.
Also, attention is paid to researches of Koroghlu, which it was carried out in European languages. As it is noted the successful aspects of these scientific works, at the same time, it is shown the imperfect directions of them. Sources, are given in chronological order.

Kendi tarihini sanatsal biçimde ifade etmeyi başaran Türk'ün Oğuz Kagan, Kitabi-Dede Korkut, Manas, Alpamış, Köroğlu ve diğer destanları dünya kültürü tarihinin nadir incileri olarak kabul edilir. Köroğlu Des-tanı'nın Avrupa dillerine tercümesi önemli bir meseledir. Makalede Türk Dünyasının kahramanlık destanı olan Köroğlunun Alexander Chodzko neşrinden sonra popülerlik kazanarak kısa sürede tüm Avrupa'ya yayıldığı ndan bahsediliyor. Aynı zamanda birçok bilim adamı ve araştırmacıların ilgisini çektiği vurgulanır, destanın araş¬tırılmasında bu neşrin bilimsel önemi ve yeri açıklanır.
Ayrıca, Köroğlu Destanı'nın tetkiki ile ilgili Avrupa dillerinde yapılan araştırmalar gözden geçirilir. Bu bilimsel çalışmaların başarılı yönlerinin yanı sıra kusurlu yönlerine de dikkat çekilir. Kaynaklar da kronolojik sırayla verilmektedir.
