Folk songs of Kuchar have a long history and are usually distinguished by its characteristics including features of dialect, regional aspect and melody from other Uyghur folk songs. Most of the folk songs of Kuchar have a very old history. The Kuchar region has been known as a cradle of song and dance for many years, and a lot of folk songs which are now called Uighur folk songs, actually come from the folk songs of Kuchar and have become variants over time. In this article, the historical origins of the "Where are you flying to, Kagha?" was discussed and there was an attempt to explain the historical emergence of the folk song, through some historical facts such as "Erkeştam" and "Encan" which were pointed in the song.

Uygur halk türküleri içinde, Kuça halk türküleri ağız özelliği ve bölgesel özelliği ağır basan, uzun tarihe sahip ve melodisiyle diğer yörelerden ayrılabilen bir mahiyettedir. Kuça halk türkülerinin çoğunluğu çok eski bir tarihe sahiptir. Kuça bölgesi, eskiden beri türkü-dans diyarı olarak bilinir ve günümüzde Uygur halk türküleri diye söylenen çok sayıda türkü, Kuça bölgesine ait olup zamanla varyantlaşmıştır. Bu makalede, Kuça halk türküsü olan ”Nereye gidersin Karga” isimli türkünün kökeni tartışılmıştır. Türküdeki ”Erkeştam” ve ”Encan” gibi tarihi gerçekliği olan adlandırmalar aracılığıyla türkünün ortaya çıkış devri açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır.
