Joseph Schumpeter, Theorie der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung (1912) kitabının yedinci bölümüne, kitabın ikinci ve daha sonraki baskılarında yer vermemiştir. Schumpeter bu ilk baskıyı, tüm toplumsal gerçekliğin anlaşılması doğrultusunda, dinamik iktisadî yaklaşımı kurgulayabilmek amacıyla gözden geçirmiştir. Bu olgunun en belirgin yanı Schumpeter’in yenilikçi girişimciye yönelik tavrındaki farklılıktır. Nitekim Schumpeter 1930’lardan itibaren girişimci teorisini genişletmiş ve kısmen de olsa değiştirmiştir. Burada vurgulanan daha ziyade girişimci tipin işlevleridir. Dolayısıyla bu yazı, Schumpeter’in değişiminin esas nedeninin, onun düşüncesindeki epistemolojik ikilemden kaynaklandığını ortaya koymaya çalışmaktadır.
Joseph Schumpeter omitted the seventh chapter of his book Theorie der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung (1912) from the second and subsequent editions. Schumpeter revised this first edition, in order to provide the contours of a
general theory of dynamic economics, encompassing the entire social realm. The most significant part of this feature is the changing attitude of Schumpeter, towards theorizing the innovative entrepreneur. Thus, from 1930’s onwards, Schumpeter extended and slightly changed his theory of the entrepreneur. From now on, it’s the function of this unique type that has been emphasized. In this context, this paper points out that the main cause of this
proclivity is the epistemological dilemma of Schumpeter’s thought.
