Abstract (2. Language):
This study is about the international public relations. As the world becomes smaller and more cohesive, business firms, media, govemmet, research firms, and many other organizations are establishing offices abroad. International growth has brought with it a host of public relations problems. Because each country has different regulations, codes, practices, customes, and culture. Therefore, this necessitates that public relations activities be tailored to fit national requirements.
This study is looking for what is meant by international public relations, its historical backgrounds, some of the reasons for its growth, and the actors of international public relations, and examines the phenomenon and identifies many of the methods employed and the problems encounted by those who engaged in international public relations.
It emphasizes that in addition to possessing the more traditonal public relations skills, the overseas practitioner must be a combination marketing tactician, diplomat, troubleshooter, and goverment relations expert.
The axiom that it is possible to plan globally but action must be planned and implemented locally is the one feature of international public relations that cannot be denied.
