Abstract (2. Language):
Holy values bind man to life and make him/her taste the enjoyment of
his/her existence. Therefore, appreciating humanbeings has close connection
with respecting to those that are important for humanity. Another important
thing in this subject is to take into consideration how the people in various
cultural environments are giving importance to their sacred values. Without considering this fact, if a person tries to make the same approach belonging
to his own culture to other sacred things belonging to people in different
beliefs, he/she can be misunderstood. The following article handles the
approach of Muslim people to their own Prophet within the frame of the
crisis recently caused by some cartoons in the West and questions the
background of this crisis as well as offering some ways of solution so that
these kinds of crisis are not lived once more.

Kutsal değerler, insanı hayata bağlar ve ona var oluşunun lezzetini
tattırır. Bu nedenle, insana değer vermek onun önem atfettiklerine saygı
göstermekle içiçedir. Saygı göstermek önemli olmakla birlikte önemli olan
bir başka husus da, farklı kültürlerdeki insanların kutsallarına nasıl değer
verdiklerini göz önünde bulundurmaktır. Bu husus gözetilmeden insan kendi
kültür ve geleneğindeki yaklaşımı değişik inanıştaki insanların kutsalları için
göstermeye çalışırsa bu çok farklı algılanabilir. Aşağıdaki makale, son
dönemde yaşanan karikatür krizi çerçevesinde Müslümanların
peygamberlerine bakışını ele almakta, krizin arka planını sorgulamakta ve
bu tür sorunların yaşanmaması için çözüm yolları önermektedir.
