Abstract (2. Language):
Choristoma is defined as microscopically normal cells or tissues that are present in abnormal locations as a result of embryologic developmental anomaly. Chondroid choristoma of cervix, endometrium, breast and oral region have been reported in the literatures. In our case the excisional biopsy specimen obtained from the vulvar region of a newborn was evaluated as chondroid choristoma. In this article, we report the first case of chondroid choristoma of the vulva, and discuss the lesion's histopathological features and differential diagnosis. Our case demonstrate that when considering the differential diagnosis of vulvar masses in childhood, chondroid choristoma should be included.
